Camera Facilities

Attention all discerning underwater photographers and video enthusiasts: We, at Kasai, have the facilities to satisfy the needs of professionals. Furthermore,  the compact nature  of the resort and even the lay of the land makes transporting your equipment to and from your room a breeze, especially if you forget something and have to go back to your room more than once. There are no steep hills to climb!

Our Dive Crew and Guides are trained to handle all types of equipment. We are experienced with professional photographers and videographers from all over the world but more importantly, we cater to novices and  professionals alike — whatever your ability level is  in underwater photography.

The Digital Room is where you will find the Uninterrupted Power Supplies of 110v and 220v for battery charging. A long and brightly lit work bench allows photographers to work on their cameras alone or with a group. There is also a multimedia MAC for use to access the internet (if you did not bring your own laptops), process images and burn DVDs. Multi-Pin adapters and extension cords are available on loan.

We have large rinse tanks at the dive centre and on the dive boats and high pressure air guns for drying off your housings and strobes. You can even use our 3-meter pool to test your camera equipment and housing. If you require  undivided attention, you may hire a dedicated guide and one of our  boats for your own use. This way, you can have flexibility and plan your  diving according to your personal requirements, subject to availability and without disregard for safety regulations.

Kasai Village Dive & SPA Resort is, on the whole, a photography friendly facility. Inside your room, there is a large writing table that provides ample table space for your camera equipment plus your laptop. All power sockets* are not connected to the room’s power-saving module which allows you to leave your batteries charging should you happen to  leave your room and remove the power-saving tag. You will also find ample shelf space in the wardrobe and on the “daybed” to lay out and sort out your array of  equipment and accessories!

Have you always found yourself with limited air or bottom time when you are so engrossed taking that perfect shot? We have Enriched Air Nitrox** and Twin-Tanks**! Imagine EAN32 on Twins…

Underwater Cameras & Video Rental

For an additional cost, we have a couple of Intova cameras and housing for rent. Ideal for the PADI Underwater Photographer course, or just to record your vacation memories. For an additional cost, we have two GoPro video cameras – we can put your photos/videos on your own SD card, disk or online. Contact us for more information.
